World-Wide Connections
International and domestic connections abound at Airpark 599. They include:
- The Burlington Northern & Santa Fe and the Union Pacific railroads operate large capacity intermodal facilities capable of handling large volumes of goods en-route to destinations throughout North America.
- Among the four major transportation routes crisscrossing San Joaquin County are State Highway 99 which runs along the eastern edge of Airpark 599 and Interstate 5 accommodating transport between Mexico and Canada.
- Air cargo, passenger service and jet travelers fly out of the Stockton Metropolitan Airport, which boasts an 11,000-foot runway capable of handling the largest aircraft currently in service. Air cargo and airport-related services at Airpark 599 will have a direct connection to the airport's runway system.
- The Port of Stockton is 75 nautical miles from the Golden Gate Bridge and offers world-class facilities for ocean-going container ships to 55 countries.
- Mass transit options connect Airpark 599 to Bay Area destinations. Options include a regional bus service and the Altamont Commuter Express carrying 1,800 commuters daily by train.
